Getting Big! Fast!

Tis the Season
I've started to get questions from friends and family about what to get Gibson for Christmas? What does he need? What size is he? So here's your handy dandy link to his wish list. There's also a a link to it over there to the right under 'I Like Stuff'. There's a variety of things at a bunch of different price points on his list, but over all there's not a whole heck of a lot because he's really too little to need much or even realize he has much. Also we have such limited space in our apartment that we're trying to avoid having too much clutter. There are one or two larger, more ridiculous things on his wish list, but generally a few toys, a couple books, and your love are all of the things he needs this Christmas.
As far as his size in clothing goes he is just started wearing things in the 6 month size. The size 3-6 month things are just getting a little tight/too small. Keep that in mind while shopping, because he has a bunch of adorable things sized 6 months that have no sleeves or legs that he hasn't worn yet or gotten to wear very much, and now that it's gotten to be way too cold to wear those things it's breaking my heart. We've also got a bunch of winter-y sized 9 month things that are still too big for him (though he should hopefully fit into them come feb or march if he continues to keep growing at the same rate).
I think that about covers it. If you have any questions, or just want to talk about how big and awesome Gibson is, you can always give me a call, or drop me an email. We're hoping we get to see you this holiday season, and if not, then soon!

Another photo...

I know all the photos show a happy and smiling baby, but sometimes he does get cranky. I know, I know, but it's true. There is one thing that can make him quiet every single time.... The Itsy Bitsy Spider. It's like baby Valium or something. Todd will sing it to him over and over, quietly and sweetly. He may very well be the best daddy ever.

our civic duty

Today we went out to vote. Gibson got to learn about our civic duty first hand.
He also got to experience autumn. It's getting cold out there. It's not even 50 degrees, but it's sunny and bright and the leaves are lovely colors.
I bundled him up in corduroy overalls and a tiny fleece motorcycle jacket. I topped him off in a beautiful hand knit cashmere hat that my mother made for him. He stayed warm and looked stylish. What more could any baby want?
It's great to see him more alert and awake when we go out these days. He used to fall immediately asleep when we'd put him in the carrier and go for a walk. Now he spends much of the time looking around and taking in the sights.
Of course, as soon as we got home I laid him down and he conked right out because voting and looking is hard work.
